Today through Sunday

On July 14, 1789 a mob of Parisians who were angry with their king for calling out his troops to restore order in the wake of riots over the price of bread decided to storm the Bastille and capture the arms that were supposedly stored there. Today, the French celebrate this day as marking the beginning of the Revolution that eventually overthrew the monarchy.

First Course

Chopped Wedge Salad
(we will use a knife, not a guillotine)
Lettuce wedges topped with bacon, tomatoes, onions and bleu cheese dressing

A potato and leek soup that we will serve either cold or warm, according to your wishes

Second Course

Crabcakes
Just as Marie Antoinette would have wanted for the masses

A fish stew (shrimp, scallops, crab, whitefish) that tops anything served by the fish wives of Paris

Third Course

Try any of our delicious cakes
cheesecake, strawberry shortcake, carrot cake

Again, in honor of Marie Antoinette who never actually said “Let them eat cake,” but it makes for a great story
